UK Biobank CMR protocol
The UK Biobank CMR protocol provides the source acquisitions for CardiacNexus phenotypes. The documentation uses UKB field numbers as provenance and modality names as the primary navigation structure.

Field numbers are provenance
Use UKB field IDs to document acquisition provenance. Use modality and phenotype names to decide which page to read and which output contract applies.
Protocol context
The UKB imaging protocol uses standardized CMR acquisitions for chamber structure/motion, vascular geometry, aortic distensibility, tagged deformation, LVOT geometry, phase-contrast flow, and native T1 mapping [1] [2]. CardiacNexus does not treat these modalities as interchangeable. Each phenotype page states which acquisition supports the measurement and which caveats follow from that acquisition.
Source audit
- Field-to-modality mapping was checked against current CardiacNexus modality pages and feature extraction source directories.
- The tagged MRI entry was updated from planned/high-risk wording to current source-audited wording because
strain_tagged.csvandstrain_tagged.npzare current artifact contracts. - Textbook context boundary: broad clinical textbook context is not surfaced here because this page documents acquisition provenance and site routing rather than disease interpretation.
